The Web cam is no longer operating; the bears are out and about. See what they're up to in these fantastic video clips:

Those video's are cool, hard to imagine that they could be dangerous.
Just noticed your in Bethel, I worked on the Bethel High School construction project a couple of years ago. Nice little town.
Thank you, for the link.
I got my Hammock Forums avatar, from the bear videos on YouTube. I decided I would share it over here. My favorites are IMPORTANT READ DESCRIPTION TO SAVE... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssTgpbEGnS4) and Bear Relaxing in Hammock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XB-vQivWd-c).
It is interesting, to me, to see the relationship between the two. They are "people" too: Bear People.
I live in "bear country" of course Grizzly Bear Country. I am convinced any unacceptable behavior is either: humans feeding the bears, or "bad behavior" by humans by "bear standards".
For example, backpacks have food, but also, bears discipline a bad cub bear with a bite, or two, and a little knocking about. Of course, the cub bear has thick fur and thick skin. I think this is true, because I have seen grizzly bears do this to a naughty cub bear and not only once. I believe it is "normal" behavior for a bear. And so, when we are "bad" by their standards, we get one, or two, bites and a knocking around, but for us, those big teeth and those claws on those paws really do damage.
I have observed their behavior and I am "respectful" of the bears.
I also do not allow a small group of humans hiking to have a "straggler". I keep the little group together: bears have a "food response" to a "straggler".
Here in the forum, I saw the video linked of the black bear that bit a human sleeping. I think, to that adolescent bear, they appeared to be dead, all laid out that way.
That's my, 2-cents.
Now, I'll just go look at those videos at the link you have posted.
