On May 22, the fourth annual Chattanooga trail marathon/half marathon will be run. This is a nice race that doesn't get the attention and registration it deserves. There is lots of support and the course probably won't kill you. You need to finish the marathon in 6 hrs (13:45 pace) or you'll be yanked.
Last year there were about 80 runners in the marathon and a couple hundred in the half.
The money goes to benefit the Wilderness Trail Association and their efforts to promote and develop trails in and around the Chattanooga area. It's a cheap registration fee and you can cut costs further by not getting their race tee-shirt.

If my stupid job doesn't interfere, I'll be there and will bring back some pics and a report. It'd be great if some WBers from the area would come and race.
