I know the previous management at the Rendezvous Motel (just yards off the Trail) used to let folks park there. Perhaps the new management still permits this. You can reach them at (540) 921-2636.
go in town and park behind the city hall / police station. go inside and they will take your info , so if you do not come back they will have contact info. have parked there in 08 and 09 and have not had a problem. very nice people in the office also.

Did they sell the place? Hard to imagine the Rendevous without Brenda...
