Well the Nesco is going full tilt here, the Oven Roasted Turkey Spam is 12 oz 450 mg of sodium precooked and slices with a cheese slicer. 4.5 hours and it drops to roughly six ounces and keeps. Want it to keep longer? pour Kikkoman Lite into a dish and coat the strips before tossing into the Nesco. Makes the best dog snack and people snack on the planet.

Buying Turkey is not tricky at all, the new packaging for ground turkey is packed in a clear sealed container that when you push on it, it expands with a gas inside to keep it good. An ounce or tablespoon of Morton Tenderquick will easily do 1 pound to 1 1/2 pounds of Ground Turkey, get it as fresh as you can mix the tenderquick in and a little less than 1/2 a bottle of your favorite sauce. You will need a good cookie or jerky shooter or you will waste time and product. Each load of the shooter will do one tray. Do not make more than a pound and a half at a time as you will run out of trays.

for the vegetarians... can do much the same with tofu or tempeh... I slice them thin, marinate in BBQ, teriyaki, or such and dry... yum!
