So what happens when you give a lawyer, an ivy grad, and a city chick a video camera on the Appalachian Trail?

That was very brave of you to leave that box of food in the woods, I am surprised it was still there and in tact.
It seems from your second video that there are conflicts brewing.
I hope you can overcome them and succeed on what you have started.
I have camped and taken day hikes for over 25 years, my Thru-Hike will be next year if all goes well, I have read that when hiking in a group, You should hike at the same pace as the slowest hiker. There will always be at least one companion who is faster or in better shape or maybe just more motivated. Hikes will come and go over a lifetime, A good, truly good friend is not so easy to come by.
Hang in there!!!

It's a miracle that the food box was still there. If a bear had come within a quarter mile it would have been long gone.

Chick "A" calls Chick "B" a "Beast" and the Dude agrees. I think this is going to be fun to watch!

You guys have to get rid of the negative attitudes, or your not going to make it to Maine. If you start saying that to yourselves your only setting yourselves up to fail. The biggest thing that takes people off the trail is their own mentality. If you guys need to, why don't you hike alone during the day and meet up at night at a predetermined spot, this way you can avoid conflict during your hike then feel good about seeing each other when you meet up.

You stashed a huge box of food in the woods at Dicks Creek Gap??? In an area where the park service has been begging hikers to hang all their food due to problem bears???

If a bear had found that food, your selfish and irresponsible actions would have contributed to the eventual euthanization of that bear.
