I'm just wondering if anyone has backpacked this trail before and could tell me a little about it. I'm thinking of doing it memoral day weekend. PA has some great trails! I've done the West Rim, Black Forrest, Old loggers Path.
Thanks!

I did it four years ago. There was a nice section with some spruce and some others with decent forest cover. No overlooks or anything dramatic. I don't recall it being very difficult. It feels like you're pretty close to civilization.

Jeff, there's a forum for "Other Trails" where I found this thread (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=37239&highlight=Allegheny+Front+Trail) for you.

Has "Ralph's Majestic Vista" grown up to the point where someone can say "no overlooks"??? KTA Trail Care was just on the trail last month so hopefully conditions are reasonable although I suspect it would have been difficult to cover the whole loop in a weekend trail work event.
