What kinds of cell phones can receive signals in Damascus at this point?

last year I had Verizon service at several locations in Damascus (Sundog Outfitters and where you enter Damascus NOBO)

Verizon works good in almost all of Damascus. There are a few low signal spots but overall good service. I know last year ATT DID NOT work but that could have changed.

Could not get an AT&T signal when I was there three weeks ago. Verizon and T-Mobile worked.

When we stopped there 10 days our Boost was very sporadic, thru hikers there said Verizon was the best.

I have AT&T: I got a signal for a VERY short time in 08, but I (Nearly) had to stand on one leg, hole my left hand in the air & face ENE. I had enough time to tell the wife "I'm in Damascus" She said "Good" & I lost signal.

About 10 min later I got a text from her & was able to reply, but again, I had to stand perfectly still & face just the right way, so I would not count on ATT being usable.
