was wondering if anyone could tell me were to catch the AT at were it crosses highway 64 between murphy and franklin nc. seems thats the closest spot for me to hit it at.

AT crosses US 64 about 10 miles west of Franklin....really can't miss it...good signage marking the trail...lots of parking. cheers.

Right, just drive west on US 64 until you get to the top of the pass (Winding Stair Gap), and you'll see a parking area.

alright thank you all for this info ill be going east on 64 for tho but think ill have no problem now finding it im hiking in fron chattanooga tn figure the hike there should get me ready for the trail thanks again
