View Full Version : In Dalton, MA
Left Bear Mt. Friday afternoon at 5:00 PM and hiked into Dalton, MA a bit ago and am waiting on a pair of boots UPS from tomorrow. My trailrunners blew out after just 170 miles.....
Rain the last 2 days.... ugh...
As best as I can tell there are about 10 thru hikers spread out in front and behind me and we're leapfrogging each other daily. Kinda fun....
Enjoy Dalton. It's a nice little town and is the place where they make the paper for our currency. A bit of trail town trivia, that.:)
...i was sorry to miss you in CT -- but you blazed through! glad you'll have some nice weather now.

Hey - I tried. And you were right, that deli wasn't much.
But, the deli at Bairds General store in Cornwalls rocked my socks. I'd probably be another 75 miles up the trail if I didn't stop at all the delis.
I'm going to be the first person to get fat hiking the trail. :)

Unless something happens I should be finished before then. I crossed the 300 mile mark a bit ago, leaving 486.
Would be great to see you though... :)
