Hey guys & gals,

geared up for my 5 day trip on the AT Starting Sunday 5/30/10 ending 6/4/10. Going 30 miles from NY 17A to Bear Mountain Inn.

Figured I would do a soup to nuts video series starting from what I was wearing, to what I have in my pack, to actually how I pack it in the ULA Circuit.... right down to weighing the pack.

I've made references to a bunch of cottage industries I will be providing links in the youtube videos just give me some time. Took me 7 hours to process the videos and to put them on the net.

Of course I will be video taping my trip as well.

Hope you enjoy,

Theres a bottle of Jim Beam in the fingerboard shelter...or at least there was a few nights ago when I ran into a bachelor party of 19 guys there!!! (strange sight to see after hiking for a day and not seeing a soul). My girlfriends and I tented away from their tents, so I dont know how much of a mess they left, but I'd be curious to know how everything was up there considering they seemed to only pack huge tents, liquor bottles and eggs (yes, they carried dozens of eggs the 15 miles or so from bear mt...) It was comical.
I just finished up the trail from the NY/NJ border to silvermine lake... Go swimming in Island Pond if you get the chance- its beautiful and the water is like a bathtub!

Silvermine Lake is where my wife and I parked and started/finished our 2 days in the park. While we did hike on a couple of short sections of the AT in the park, we were mostly on other trails. We spent the night near the West Mountain Shelter.
