Bear Cables

In much earlier post dating back to 05 I read that Davenport Gap didn't have cables. Do they have them now?

A few years back I was at Davenport and there was no bear cable for hanging food, but the "bear fence" across the front of the shelter was still there unlike most of the other Smokies shelters where they have been removed..

I was there yesterday. The fence is still there, and no bear cables.
