I知 a newbe hiker doing my 1st. AT hike next week
The plan is 3 days (2 nights) from Woody gap to Hogpen gap about 5 miles per day
With the camping ban between Jarrard gap and Neels gap we are planning on camping (tent) as close to Jarrard as possible 1st. night and North of Neels 2nd night .
With the ban in affect I知 wondering if the camping could be crowded in these areas.
(maybe 5 of us(5 tents). The 4 others in the party did approach trail to woody last year
With that said:
I知 asking for advice on camping spots south of Jarrard and north of Neels.
Water (I知 planning on leaving woody with 3 to 4 liters and purifier)
