Just a heads up, that this is a long shuttle as there is no straight line way to get from point A to point B. None of it is via interstate so it will probably take longer than you expect, if you have it planned in your schedule its not a problem, but dont expect to do much hiking you first day.

It is sort of a nowhere to next to nowhere drive. Would trash a day for me. Even if I was driving.

Moose = cautious drivers = much slower than the average 2 lane roads. . .

From Monson to Skowhegan its a pretty fast run but the RT 2 corridor can be real slow most days in the summer, usually its 35 MPH through Skowhegan, Norridgewock, Farmington and Rumford. These towns all have development for 4 or 5 miles on either side of town so things can get real slow during tourist season and its also a popular trucking route. There are local shortcuts that can reduce the delay, but I can usually pick up an hour or so if I leave real early in the morning. From the center of Andover to either one of the normal trailheads adds about 20 minutes (gravel roads that are always passable but sometimes in rough shape).

It is highly likely that the shuttle driver may not live right at the trailhead you want to start at so their transit time to the trailhead also needs to be factored in (as well as their return mileage when you negotiate a price).

If you can pull it off in four hours, you are doing well but I would plan on 5, but if you want to belive google, have at it.
