This just might be one of those things that changes what we eat on the trail. (well, they don't mention if it must be refrigerated or not but......)

From Time Magazine, check it out here. (http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1993883,00.html?xid=rss-topstories&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+time/topstories+(TIME:+Top+Stories)&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher)

^^^^ That could be quite the revelation when it comes to the market. It's certainly quite the technological feat. Surprised people didn't take greater notice of that Time article, and the accompanying video.

Even if it doesn't gain widespread acceptance in the overall food market, hopefully it will still become the predominant product for people in certain niche markets, such as vegetarians (obviously), but also people who stockpile food who thusfar have had to rely on crappy TVP (textured vegetable protein) meat substitutes which are mediocre substitutes, at best.

I hope this new product can be sold in a form that doesn't require any refrigeration at all, in the same way TVP doesn't, just by dehydrating or freeze drying it.
