That only female mosquitoes bite and suck blood, males can not. Only female wasps can sting and again a male can not. Hummm......

Heard once that only male mosquitoes hum....so if you're laying in your sleeping bag at night, out in the open, and you don't hear anything............

The female Praying Mantis also eats the male soon after mating.......this is said to happen because after mating the male is no longer needed. The female who needs to survive to lay the eggs cannot go hungry and die this ensures survival of the mantis.

Female black widow spiders eat the male after mating as well. I think that's how they got their name.

Male bees are thrown out of the hive in autumn, left to die in the colder temps, so that they do not eat away at the food stores.

Well, that's just because the males won't make their own damn coffee in the morning.

...and female African lions do most of the hunting (or so I've heard).

Although I'm far from well read on the subject, I think early religions, including those leading to today's major faiths, started out with female deities...

Meanwhile, the growing number of U.S. males stuck in perpetual adolescence and lackadaisical lifestyle is skewing college enrollments to a majority of females. Good on them.:sun

Well if no one else is going to say it: Ahem:
