100 gram cannister accurate? It says 11 liters per cannister. I am planning an 8 day solo trek on the High Sierra/JMT....don't want to carry extra weight.
I am planning on a 200 grm cannister plus 100 gram backup...Am I in good shape for 8 days? A liter of hot water for breakfast, and liter for dinner?

THANKS

that seems accurate. I usually carried (2) 100oz canisters while thruhiking. I could get at least a weeks worth of meals out of that much fuel. However, I rarely boiled a full liter of water for each meal. So a 200 and a 100 canister sounds like what I'd plan on taking for 8 days.

The AT and the High Sierra are completely different animals. Water boils at a lower temperature at higher altitudes, thus food cooks more slowly. Your boil times may be quicker (in the Sierra) but your cooking times will be longer.
