I havent been up there since then, but I am pretty sure the trails are still open. I have heard of people that have taken the AT/Boulevard route up since then.

I was up there a few weeks ago. The TN trails were clear, but some in NC did not fair so well. We saw lots of blowdown on Walnut Mtn, Snowbird Mountain, and descending into the Nantahala Gorge. I did not see any blowdown on the AT around Newfound Gap, so you should be clear.

I traveled the AT to the Boulevard Trail to LeConte then down the Alum Cave Trail to 441. about 2 weeks ago. No problems.
