No experience with them, but I just got back from Walled Fart--you know, Walmart--and found perfect hiking shorts for $8 each. Elastic waist, drawstring, no belt or belt loops, soft flexible polyester, two front pockets, inner swimsuit style liner--GREAT! Light weight, not stiff fabric, no useless plastic belt buckle-snap, not too low or too high inseam, etc.

I have the Columbia Sportswear Youngs River Falls Shorts, They are very well made, I was impressed with the quality from Columbia, They seem to give attention to the little details. Got them from Sierra Trading Post.com for $19.00
I haven't checked their site recently, You might want to check it out before buying.

I just wear men's cargo shorts from wally world.
Men's fit me better because I have a long torso.
