Is there a database of water source waypoints along the AT? This would be a great resource. Maybe I could start one!

Most trail guides list whether water is available at various points along the trail with a description about reliability and distance off the trail or proximity to a shelter. VERY handy last week when temps were over 100°F and water planning was important.

What I really want is waypoints to add to my GPSr.

Guess you'll have to start the water source waypoint database. Another option is to give Jester2000 a GPS, a bunch of monster energy drinks and have him repeat his 4-day thru hike (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showpost.php?p=370020&postcount=31). (makes me chuckle every time I read it)
