I woke up this morning with slugs all over my tent and gear in the vestibule, including in my shoes. I now have slug slime all over a bunch of stuff. Is the slime harmful to gear at all? I'm about to go clean everything anyway, but curious for the future, and if I should take it off immediately.
BTW,is it slug season or something or was I just in a heavily populated Slug Central (thats what I'm calling this spot for now on)? They where even on my dog this morning when she was laying on some moss.

I guess I was slug cursed lol.
So slug slime is a pain to get off, especially getting it off tent mesh.

I knew my cat was getting old when I found a complete slug trail across him.

I don't know where you are along the trail to find these slugs, but I cam across billions and billions of them in Maine during June & July last year. If they were damaging to gear, I would have been without gear, clothes or shoes by the time I reached New Hampshire

Slugs, ramps, and Ramen - UMMMM! What's for dinner?

Actually, you should cook slugs and snails thoroughly if you plan on eating them! Heard that from Les Stroud.

Not for nothing ares snails frequently served with garlic butter. The garlic disguises the taste and the butter disguises the sliminess.
