Hi,
Just joined this forum. Have done some section hiking of the AT since 2007 - all of Pa, Md, WV, and about half of NJ. I am hoping to get NJ done by the end of September.
Is anyone interested in hiking on 8/20 and 8/21 in the Walkill to Rt 23 area? I am hoping to do this on that weekend. I then have Blue Mountain Lakes Road to the Deckertown Turnpike to do, in order to complete NJ. Possibly looking at Labor Day weekend for that.
If anyone is in the area and would like to join me or help with shuttle, that would be great. Heard about the mayor of Unionville and was also going to check in with him about possible overnight stay, shuttle on the weekend of 8/20.
I am a member of a hiking club in Harrisburg, but thought it might be easier to find someone in the local area of NJ, and some of our clubmembers have already done NJ.
Thanks - any advice or suggestions would be welcome too. This looks like a great website with a lot of good information.

okay - hope to arrive in the area somewhere around 10:30 am Friday morning 8/20, hike that day, and most of the next day. Would welcome a hiking partner or shuttle.

Hey Missadventure...where exactly are you planning on hiking from and to?

hope to arrive around High Point/23 by 10:30 am, no later than 11. Unable to get earlier start, unfortunately. Looking for shuttle or second car to start from Walkill back to 23. Was going to check at the "mayor's" place if nothing else develops.

Where's Walkill? Near Walkill lake -- like Louemma parking area? Or NJ565? How far is that?

it is the Walkill Wildlife Refuge, north on the AT about 3-4 miles from 565
