Advice on weather and bugs through Maine would be appreciated. Hammock use ok?
Nothing else to do so i'll try southbound:)

I can tell you that from Katahdin to Caratunk you can hammock pretty much anywhere you want to except maybe Baxter state park itself. I did and there are lots of great places either at the shelters or not.

I'm leaving southbound August 16. I called Baxter about hammock use. They said it was ok but might not be trees at all camp sites. They have installed eyebolts on front of the lean-tos just for hammocks.
