Wayah Gap to Dick's Creek Gap Shuttle

I might be hiking alone this year and will need a shuttle. I plan to start at Dick's Creek Gap and get to Wayah Gap. My bailout would be Winding Stair Gap.

How can I find out who could provide a shuttle back to Dick's Creek Gap from either Wayah or Winding Stair? What is the normal pricing for something like this?

It would be only me and my gear.

The ATC website lists shuttles (The Trail/Getting to the Trail) on thier website here: http://www.appalachiantrail.org/ . You could also check with David Levy; I don't know how far into NC he goes, but he is picking me up at Dick's Creek in October. His website is here: http://atsurvivordave.com/ . I'm sure there are others as well. Have fun!

The WB homepage under the Transportation tab lists plenty of shuttle services. I have used Joyce Monroe & Sally Smith - they're located very close to Dicks Creek Gap.

Try David out of Franklin, who also shuttles for Havens Budget Inn: 828-524-4403

He took us all the way up the forest service road to Deep Gap (south of Standing Indian) which took almost an hour, and the trip from Franklin to Dicks Creek Gap is on paved roads and takes about the same amount of time. I know that he shuttles north to Fontana Dam.
