I already checked the GATC site and the water information has not been updated since 4/10. Any recent firsthand water reports for the section between Hog Pen Gap and Unicoi Gap? Planning on a short hike this coming Labor Day. Especially interested about the water at or near both shelters. Thanks for the help. :)

Check with Mountain Crossings.

according to a hiker that came through last week there was water at Low Gap shelter. Water is also available at Blue Mountain shelter.

We will be doing a hike from Unico to Standing Indian really soon and just wanted to know if anyone could tell me the wateravailability. I hope they are not frozen and any info would help.
