Hey Everyone,

I am doing an overnighter next weekend. We are looking to do the approach trail Saturday , Camp that night, and then Sunday continue on about 10 miles or so. Wheres a good spot to park our 2nd car at futher north around 10-15 miles that the AT crosses? First time on the AT as well, Super excited. :D

Might consider parking a car at FS 42 just north of Springer...camp on Springer first night and do out and back on Sunday....the falls just north of Stover shelter are nice..can spend several hours there...beautiful....just have fun! cheers.

Either Hightower Gap (8 miles) or Cooper Gap (11.5 miles) would be the 2 most obvious ones. Springer to Hightower Gap is one of the easiest 8 mile stretches in GA; you'll have plenty of time to check out Long Creek Falls and the Cemetary and still get out with plenty of time to get home.

Thanks max, this sounds like exactly what I was looking for.
