Can you dehydrate meatloaf? How does it work? Does it come out like beef jerky or something you have to rehydrate?

You can dehydrate ground beef, aka gravel. You can use a jerkey press to shape ground beef into sticks that come out like jerkey strips.

I don't know how well your meatloaf would slice up (and you'd need fairly thin slices to get it to dehydrate well). My meatloaf would probably crumble if I was trying to slice it 1/8 of an inch or so, and I'd end up drying flavored ground beef.

You'd definitely want to make sure the ground meat in your meatloaf didn't have much fat in it.
