hey, everyone,I am Clifton ,a newer of this pleasent family.
I want to ask a question.
You know I have a plan to go climbing with my wife in fall.
So I want to buy a waterproof and windresistant jacket for her, search in
google, and others company are more expensive than the one.
Have a look around in their company,my wife want to buy the north face waterproof jacket.
Seen the price is lower than others, can I buy it from there?
Please give me some advices, many thanks.

neither of those are really waterproof clifton. the 2nd one will offer a bit of protection during snow. but they're mainly like, for around town...

check out marmot's "precip" for a decently priced waterproof jacket

the precip jacket's membrane clings to your skin and is very uncomfortable. the membrane also started to crack on mine after a couple of years of very typical wear, no extreme conditions.

this one from LL Bean is super nice, and about the same price

it's a little stiffer, doesn't cling, and is better built with nicer materials than the marmot precip. i'm MUCH happier with it than the marmot. plus, with LL Bean you can return anything at any time for any reason...so if you decide you don't like it, something breaks, or they get new colors, send it back.
