I am in the planning stages and contemplating hiking the Virginia part of the AT next spring(2011). I picked Va. because I have relatives in Lynchburg & Charlottesville, that I can rely on for support. I am looking for any info & or help in getting this off the ground. I figured this forum might be a good place to start.

When you say Spring? What are your expected dates? Are you planning on heading north or south? How long are you expecting to take on this hike?
