Planning to hike from Erwin to Damascus October 6-23rd. I am a slow (8-10 miles/day) stop and smell the roses hiker. Don't mind hiking alone but prefer to have company at night. Any one interested? Anyone know how the water supply is currently in this section? :)

That was a bit snarky!:( According to my maps it is 123 miles. I have planned shuttle, resupply and rest days. Didn't know I needed to post my complete itinerary. Anyone have any information regarding water availability?

Not only was it snarky but poor math also :). At 123.6 miles if you were hiking every day it would be 7.27 miles per day. Have a great hike and HYOH. Wish I could join you.

oct 6-23rd is 18 days. last time i checked 123 divided by 18 was 6.83 mpd. i estimated it to be 120 miles instead of 123, which would be 6.67 mpd and i took the liberty to round down slightly. dont get your panties in a wad.

just sayin...

I really don't need your approval or patronization. I plan to HMOH and I thank God every day that I am able to do so and for all the wonderful people that I have met along the trail.

I hope your attitude improves, it would make your life much happier.:p
