Are there any good campsites with water under a mile nobo of Hwy 64/winding stair?

According to the Online Companion, there's a campsite with water 0.9 miles from Winding Stair. I can't say much more; I've been there, but passed by and don't really remember it.

Seemed to remember two spots within about a mile right near creeks. I recall the second spot by the second creek was nicer. :)
I wouldn't want to try to sleep within earshot of the road. The trucks going up, up, up and then down, down, down would wake me up, up, up over and over again. For me that would mean camping on the other side of the ridgeline...

theres is an excellent water source next to the stairs going south at winding stair gap.

Agree w/wolfdog...I have seen that piped spring flow like a firehose in the worst of droughts. :)
