Going from Hughes Gap to Hampton, TN next week. How's the water situation?

Check with Mtn Squid or Bob Peoples @ Kincora. I myself have been hearing conflicting reports.

Bob is who I'm shuttling with. Just thought I'd check in here 1st for specific locations that may be dry.

Water was pretty good from Carver's Gap to 19E. The spring near Jane Bald was flowing. Stan Murry Shelter was weak, but there was a pool a foot across and perhaps 2 inches deep to draw from. The piped spring at Overmountain Shelter was flowing very nicely, enough to fill a 1-liter bladder in about 20 seconds. There were maybe half a dozen springs flowing beside and across the trail on the descent to 19E, flowing slowly but at least flowing.
