No campfires in Blood Mountain Wilderness.

I called the Ranger 2 weeks ago and was informed that open fires are currently allowed in Blood Mountain Wilderness. She told me that only around the peak is there a burn ban.

This was contrary to what Bloodmountainman told me here (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=65391). The Ranger's recommendation to me was to call closer to my trip (mid-November) to verify burn ban locations.

I'm getting conflicting info so not sure what to do.

Go with what the rangers tell you. They are the ones that are there. They are also the ones you will have to deal with if you do something you shouldn't. Get the name of the ranger that told you it was okay in whatever area.
