Obviously not white and when I wear black the sweaty salt stains make me look like a giant margarita glass.........

Dark Grey. For some reason, this color seems to be the softest as well - especially with fleece. Maybe I'm just crazy.
Hunting season?
Might need to cut back on the sodium intake if it is that bad.

Why not white? It is certainly the coolest in hot weather. I just kept bleaching mine with every washing and it stayed relatively white.

I usually use light gray usually. White shirts will end up that color anyway, I just decided to skip that step and go straight to the color.
I usually go with light tan. Not exactly intentional, but one of my fellow hikers said I kept blending into the mountains so that she couldn't see me. I kind of like that.

In August I got a $45-$50 Columbia shirt for $9.99 at Bass Pro, new! just because it was last year's color. Not even a microsecond's hesitation. Peach is just peachy.
