Hello everyone, this is my first post. Been lurking a while.
I am 52, i have hiked about 500 miles of the AT so far. My most recent trip was the 69 miles from Erwin to Hot Springs the week of 10-4 thru 10-9
i do most of my hiking solo, but as you guys know you arent really that alone on the AT
anyway just wanted to say hello:welcome:welcome

hi neonshaw. my name is mkbibble and I am an ATholic. It been 44 days since i've been on the AT. It is only by the grace of God (and a post on another forum) that I found this place.
Hey there, neonshaw. Welcome to Whiteblaze. Enjoy your time here.

yea its a good section, plenty of good views, water was pretty good except for spring mtn shelter which had a still 1" deep giardia pool as a source
Welcome.
Maybe we'll see you on the trail as you work your way north! I hiked mostly alone for my 1st few hundred miles, but find more and more how I enjoy company on the trail.

Welcome Neonshaw:welcome So which 500 miles have you done? Are you working your way in an orderly progression northbound or hiking random segments and eventually piecing them together (like I did)?
