Me and a friend hiked from Unicoi Gap to Dicks Creek Gap
in Georgia this weekend (11/20-21) and noted the following
water source conditions:

- Stream halfway up Rocky Mtn: decent water flow

- Cheese Factory site: did not look
(early Nov reports had this one flowing)

- 1st USFS 79 crossing: decent flow out of a corrugated pipe

- Tray Mtn Shelter: decent flow according to hikers who stayed there

- Seep on A.T. 0.25 mi below shelter: usable but need to scoop a bowl

- Steeltrap Gap: did not look

- Sassafras Gap: usable water, scooping a bowl helps

- Addis Gap: usable water, low flow

- Deep Gap Shelter: usable water, low flow

- Powell Mtn: usable water in a bowl sized depression next to trail

- Moreland Gap: did not look

- Stream above Dicks Creek Gap: good flow

We also ran across about half a dozen SOBO'ers finishing up
their thru-hikes. The folks at Mtn Crossings said that about
50 had come through so far this year.

Loads of people were out. Two Boy Scout troops were camped
at Deep Gap and another dozen people were there. It was
crowded but everyone had a good time. We saw about 30 hikers
out on this section. And GATC had a big trail mtc crew operating
out of Unicoi Gap. All in all, a good weekend.
