Don't know when they started it, but I run price comparisons on several retailers and local outfitters. I needed a set of kayak wheels to transport the kayaks across sand. (the beach) The cheapest I could get was $60 at LLBean outlets. Yesterday for one day only - $45 at REI On Line Outlet.
So keep your eye on REI, Click on Outlet and watch the Deal of the day and week.
