Hello all,

From lurking here on WB it seems many people here have a minimalist mentality about life. I ran across an assembly of essays and poems about this in a free publication called the Open Review Quarterly. The theme of the first issue is "Unplugged". Some of the essays are quite good. I thought maybe some of you here would enjoy reading it.

From the site, the following describes the first issue:

" “Unplugging” resists the rampant belief that things will make us happy. Participants within this international movement create a life based on the assumption that less is more, and they profess that materialism inhibits happiness rather than promotes it."

From http://meylah.com/ginkgo/open-review-quarterly-issue-1-unplugging you can access a pdf of the journal.

If that's so, then why is there an "Add to Cart" in the right hand column of the webpage?

Heh, had to check it out after the above comments.
Sure enough, "materialism is bad" abstract to the left, "wanna buy a t-shirt?" to the right.
Delicious.
