View Full Version : Ursak minor
I have decided I want to try one and was curious how they are holding up
for you guys and gals.
I thru-hiked the AT with one this year, held up fine. Well, one exception, I got some mold spots on it, but I think that was from having an odor proof liner inside and often a plastic bag on the outside, so there was likely prolonged periods of moisture. I used vinegar, and I think the mold isn't an issue now.
Worked great, btw, I often slept with my food next to me in shelters, never lost any food to rodents. I'd definitely use the Ursack Minor on the AT again.
Thanks for the good info.

Used mine on the PCT this year too and I agree with the above. Pretty handy to have. I worry more about rodents than I do bears. About the same weight as a stuff sack so why not have some piece of mind as well?

I'll put in a vote for it too. Used it the entire thru hike and it held up great. Lightweight and big enough for all my food.

If I were a shelter dweller on the AT this is a product I would def have.
