Is it my imagination or has this become threads-gone-wild?

Many of us are trail-deprived in the winter, sniffing White Blaze as surrogate hiking.

But some seem to be here only to boost their post count via hit ‘n’ run. High visibility/no meaning. They don’t read the thread before they pepper the board with their opinion. Don’t read or reply to the responses after starting a thread. Snarking at newbies. Dissing oldies. Being inauthentic authorities on any topic thrown out there.

Or was it always this way? Wondering what you consider to be the WB Golden Age and the characters who inhabited it. (I myself would like to see a resurgence of the Frolicking Dino’s.)

(:DThis bumps my thread count over 100)

Yeah, been here on Whiteblaze WAY too much again lately.

Might hang around another week or two to bounce my post count up from my average of .15 posts per day since I came here to .152 posts per day average. :)

Does anyone know how long cheese stays good on the trail?

Let's see - your post count X 100 < # of miles you've hiked:)

Ha!! That's funny. I had to go get the calculator out to see. Looks like I've hiked about 47 miles for each post I've made here.

I need to get that up to 50 miles per post. Will be working on that soon. :)

Uh...who cares what someone's post count is?
On a scale of 1 to 10 on an AT forum it ranks negative 100 (imo).

Substance counts, not post counts

:)

But some of you better get going here....

Cheese is ALWAYS good on the trail, I thought.

So true. I recommend a soft cheese, like a big tub of Ricotta. Good for a couple weeks on the southern end of the FL Trail in summer.
