listed shoe weight [Archive]

Is the listed shoe weight always per/pair? I'm looking at the Montrail AT Plus and they list 15oz. That must be pre-shoe.

It should be accurate, at least for a given size. If your size is larger than average, yours may be a little more, but it's not per shoe. My New Balance shoes weigh about 12 oz per pair and that's very close to the listed weight.

I have the AT Plus in size 10-1/2. About a pound for the pair. There is another string on this site about this model. I seem alone in having good luck with them!

Typically for men, the listed weight is for a pair of either size 8 or 9. I'm size 11 and shoes are never as light as listed.
