Need help in deciding which to go with.
Wanting a 15 to 20 degree bag that i wont feel clausterphobic in.
Looking at a Montbell Super Spiral UL or One of the Big Agnes bags.
Which would you choose and why?
Thanks,

Only way you'll know for sure for your body is to go try them out. Curl up in a couple of them in a store. I always get weird looks when I do something like that, but I'd rather know before I spend my money on something if it is going to work for me.

i've got 2 montbell bags (0 degree and 40 degree) and they are awesome! PLENTY of space to move around on the inside...their weight is typically a little heavier, but they are very comfortable and warm...

I vote for the MB SSUL. The #1 weighs 2 lb. 4 oz. Not bad for a 15 degree bag although there are lighter bags but the will not give you the room inside the MB does. I have a MB ULSS #5 and like it for a summer bag.

I used the MB SSUL #1 last year and it worked fine for me. It was plenty warm and very comfortable. I tend to flop around through the night and it did not feel as constricting as some bags do, while keeping the dead air space to a minimum.

That is probably the ugliest sleeping bag, but its a good deal.

I have to root for the Montbell bag, snug and cozy and stretchy! :)

I'll put in another vote for the Montbell bag. I thrash around at night and like some space around my legs to move. I never felt constricted in the Montbell and it sure was comfortable.

I have a Montbell, it feels clingy and claustrophobic to me, I don't care how much it stretches. I'm much happier in my quilt.

I have a MB SS #1, a Big Agnes 30 degree Ranger and Pitchpine. The Ranger is definetly large and never have a problem with size. Its old of was abused over the years and wouldnt keep me warm enough most times. So I got the 15 degree MB. I did not want a BA bag this time as I wanted down all around. The BA is much harder to use as a quilt(zipper open) IMHO. The MB is smaller in girth but still dont have a problem with size. I do sleep on my side and cant quite extend my knee out to the side with it but can with the BA. THe Pitchpine is the SL series and is much smaller than the Ranger but for a summer bag it is not an issue and it doubles as extra insulation for my MB and slides right over the MB.

Thanks,I don't know if your a big guy but why limit your choices to only these two brands. May cost a little more, but how about this:http://www.westernmountaineering.com/index.cfm?section=products&page=Sleeping%20Bags&cat=Gore%20Windstopper%20Series&ContentId=50
