Here in Greene Co. TN just snowed 16" on Camp Creek Bald probably more in the Smokies.More snow is forecast.If this keeps up the snowpack may not melt till April..Got Snowshoes earlybirds....:eek:

He's harmless, from what I've seen, he doesn't bite, and would probably make for a good companion on the trail (if you didn't have to feed him) ;)...

Congrats on the ticket - you'll be a couple of days behind me, but it probably won't take much to catch up - I'll be movin' pretty darn slow in the beginning. Hope to pick up speed after a couple of weeks.

Yeah I have to put in for passes and get tickets too for my JMT walk this summer. It can be nerve racking, wondering what will happen. But SO good.

As someone who has just started to plan for a 2012 effort, reading about your excitement, I myself am filled with excitement, anticipation, and even a little fear and trepidation that I might be that close to heading out, booking the flight to Atlanta. Doing that means it's pretty much a done deal. No turning back now.
