Does anybody know where to find a poster/wall map of the trail? I saw them in gatlinburg last year, but cannot find any online. The ones I saw were 3-4 feet long and less than 12 in. wide.

ATC trail store sells a raised relief map for less than $50. It's in two parts and has a few minor errors. The US Park Service gives away the printed map you describes. ATC sells it -- or used to -- for less than $10. All bargains.

I bought one as a Christmas present at MC earlier in the month.

I got the same map at Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, but it's not on their website. I'd guess most outfitters that sells section maps probably have this one too.

I have this map posted in my office with all of the sections I have completed highlighted. Great conversation starter and I actually met a guy who was working in VA who picked me up at one end of SNP and shuttled me back to my car at the other.

I bought mine in Gatlinburg so it is probably the same one you saw. $3.95, "Re-printed with the permission of the National park service by the ATC"
