I'm just curious, has anyone here completed all three trails? I've read that just over 100 folks have successfully completed all 3. Looks pretty neat. Maybe something for me to look forward to after the AT.

Several folks on this site have, I wont mention their names though I'll let them chime in if they choose to.

Dayum. Kathy "Wandering Star" Faulks has done the PCT and CDT twice each along with the AT!

I am working on it. Got all PCT-CA done, NM/southern CO on the CDT, and all of the AT. Figure I've got about 3000 miles left b4 I get a plaque.

There is a guy out hiking right now who is attempting a Quadruple Crown. This is the Triple Crown plus the NCT. But if you mention his progress or speculate on his chance of success the thread gets locked and posts deleted.

We can outwardly ridicule Bear Grylls but can't debate on the progress of an average joe hiker..................Nein!

How are they different? AT is a social highway. PCT is wild, scenic and hey.....it's the Sierras and the Cascades. CDT is simply wilderness and anything goes.:p

I did all of the AT in 92, all of the Long Trail in Vermont(1/2 in 91, other 1/2 in 2003), PCT-CA in 1996, CDT section in 97, Ozark Highlands Trail(165 miles) in 04, and i have about 650 miles of the Ice Age Trail completed(98--06).
Next long hike is too big to mention here. But I can give you a hint and say that the first half of the thru hike will require about 550 dinners, of which I have already bagged 130 of them.

Nope, just a regular Joe that enjoys being out there and not surrounded by walls.
