Anyone have anything to say about them? I was looking at the Trail Series. Suspension looks good.

I have two older EMS packs. The big one I use for winter camping. It carries a large load comfortably. It is well built. A friend has used the smaller one on a few weekend trips and likes it. I've only used the smaller one for day hikes. They are both heavy packs. There are lighter choices for sure. I don't know about the trail series. Look closely at Ula Packs for the full suspension you want. Just sayin, before you pull the trigger.

There's another thread about EMS packs from not too long ago. Use the search feature at the top of the page to try and find it.

Thanks for the link. I must have missed that thread (or didn't pay attention to it). I stopped by an EMS today and liked what I saw.

I've got an older model that's pretty tough to find now (older as in 2009 I believe :D), but the build is still pretty similar to current models. It's done me very well, well built and very comfortable. Only downside to it is that it's around 5lbs. That's why I've currently got a GoLite Pinnacle on its way, but I'll still pull out the EMS pack for certain trips.
