NEWBIE needs gear advice...

Hello all,
I am hiking the AT mid march and have been gathering my gear...I have so far...Backpack,tent,hiking shoes,stove,sleeping bag,firstaid kit,head torch,....What else is essential for my hike??

Seriously, though, what do you have in the line of clothing?
First aid kit?
Water treatment?
Socks? Yeah, socks can make a BIG difference.

Sleeping pad, clothing, guide book, pack liner or cover, stuff sacks, rain gear, cooking pot, knife, duct tape, maybe some trekking poles, aqua mira or water filter
