Well to be honest jerseydave ,
It seemed to work better than the original full size 1 quart size paint can . Not sure if it's because the heat was contained in a smaller spacer or what but the soup I cooked was in the refrigerator for 2 hrs when I took it out to cook it and came to a boil in a little over 4 minutes.
