Where can I purchase this book in Massachusetts? Is it out yet? Do I have to buy it online? Are there that many changes that make the 2010 edition no longer useful?

This thread seems like Deja Vu for some reason.

I think there was another thread with the same basic question and someone said there were over a thousand small changes between 2010 to 2011. I could be totally wrong. Its late and I'm being too lazy to use the search function.

Bottom line on that thread though, was that if you buy the guide book for 2011 from the AT Conservatory, you can consider it a 15 dollar donation, and be up to date at the same time.

When I hiked the trail last year I had the Appalachian Trail Pages book by ATroll/Awol in just a year I found that places had closed, phone no's had changed. Shelters had been moved or removed totally, distances between places also changed etc. Do yourself a favour buy the new one, life is tough enough on the AT without having outdated info.
