49 Liters. I was considering the Exos 58, but that is 10 more liters I would have to fill. Less is more. I left the stuff I could dirtbag for the rest of Jan and Feb.

Base Weight
Pack- 39oz
Mountain Hard Wear 600fill 20 degree bag- 41oz
Tent EMS Velocity 1- 46oz
Military Sleeping Pad- 16oz

8.8 pounds

Water:
(2) one liter smartwater bottles(so nice and thin)
Potable Aqua (only in times of emergency; I am not affected by GRD ;)

Still have to figure out clothing, shoes and my cooking system. I brought a coleman's stove over my section hike during the summer. I did 350 miles. Luckily someone left behind a whisper lite in Delaware Water Gap.

Off to goodwill!

Love my Atmos 50! Osprey makes solid stuff. No complaints at all.

You chose well with the Osprey.
I've got a little over 150 miles on a 46 and its a solid pack.
The ventilation mesh works and I just learned last week you can put
a hydration bladder between the mesh and the pack :(
I've carried the 58 on two winter hikes and for me it carries exactly the same.

Regarding the Exos, if you are planning on routinely carrying over 25lbs, I would suggest maybe choosing a different pack. Most people find that 25lbs is the desired weight to achieve all day comfort. Just something to keep in mind

What WhoDey said....and that applies to the 46 OR 58 (and 34, I've carried them all).
