nothing up yet, but thats the URL it will be at.
@Busch, cool lookin blog, have you tried a knee support wrap? that solved the problem for me for the most part. also, I have the same sleeping bag as you, its a good one. but you WILL NEED a silk liner for the sleeping bag in the beggining of the hike, they are a little pricey maybe $50 but it will add 10 degrees to the rating of your bag and also keep it clean!

I've got one up over at TrailJournals.com: http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?trailname=8583. How are you guys updating your journals? I was thinking about updating via phone so I could have quicker updates but am now considering just updating when I hit towns.

My journal is at " trailjournals.com/gipcgirl " I started it on my 2010 hike and have continued it for this years hike. Its great when visitors to the site leave a message of encouragement, especially when you have had a tough few days and get into town miserable and you read the entries. Certainly makes you feel heaps better.

Hey gipcgirl! I was reading the register at the Allentown (Pennsylvania) shelter yesterday and saw your entry from last summer! Great to see you're tackling the trail again.
FWIW, here's my meager journal:

For those using public computer and such, how do you intend to upload photos? Are you going to bring along the chord to attach to the computer?

You could also mail your memory card back home and have someone trusted there upload your pics.

Has anyone else tried to access www.trailphone.net (http://www.trailphone.net)? They don't seem to have any recent posts, but yet the site is still up and running, just the "800" number gives you an "error" message.
I was counting on using it pretty regularly - I'm glad I didn't send a "donation"!
Just wondering if anyone has any other info about it....

Mine is at www.trailjournals.com/Kinnickinic2011. I planned to leave this past week, but medical and tax issues keep popping up. I may be walking wounded but fast with the IRS checking the registers, trying to say "Hello." Just kidding, of course, but all this has cost me time. I expect now to leave about the 24th. At least that way I can read lots of good posts in those same registers. Take care, All.--Kinnickinic
Kinnicknick, I will be in GA and can't wait to see you out there.

Hi, WhiteBlazers,
I've hiked quite a bit, but this is the first time I've kept a trail journal. (http://tjforrester.com/2011/03/09/appalachian-trail-hike-springer-mountain-to-the-stephen-colbert-show/) I started at Springer and might make it to the northern terminus, but first I'm going to take a right in New York and attempt to walk on the set of the Colbert Report as a guest. Everyone I know says I'm nuts, even my publicist, but I'm giving it a go anyway.
Best,
Skid
